Be My Bez

Prodding at the borders between punk-rock and theatre, blurring boundaries and pulling shapes in the space between.

“Be My Bez!” (Working title: “…the hour by the water tower’s watch”) was a collaboration with Ray Gun (a band that Jess sings in and Eo plays bass in). Together, we performed a gig for one person at a time in a water tower in Folkestone, as part of Profound Sound. Audeince members were invited to climb the ladder and enter the water tower through a hatch, putting them at the centre of the performance, surrrounded by the musicians. The performance could also be experienced from beneath the water tower: a clattering, pulsing, wooden box, suspended above the pavement.
